Like other businesses, ambulatory surgery centers are increasingly relying on online advertising to attract new business. Ambulatory surgery centers and physician advertising have unique challenges, including adhering to the limitations of professional conduct, and complying with the Federal Trade Commission Act. This presentation highlighted the major federal and state regulations that limit the content of center and physician advertising, and offered specific examples of proper and improper forms of advertising.
