Sam Licker is an associate in M&R’s Los Angeles office and member of the firm’s Corporate, M&A, Securities & Real Estate Practice Group. In that capacity, he handles a wide array of deals, including private mergers and acquisitions in a variety of industry sectors (insurance, entertainment, technology and digital media, to name a few), venture capital and fundraising transactions, and public securities work involving Section 16 and ’33 Act reporting.

In terms of his M&A work, Sam spearheads legal due diligence and drafts operative and ancillary documents, among his other responsibilities on M&R’s deal teams. He is also well versed in aspects of insurance and regulatory law, which has proven helpful to several clients, particularly those within the healthcare and climate change spaces. In addition, Sam is frequently leaned upon for professional corporation formation and he keeps clients up to date on  a range of topics, from ESG to crypto and blockchain.

While a student at Notre Dame Law School, Sam was a Senior Articles Editor of the Journal of Legislation. Likewise, he participated in Notre Dame’s London Law Program, where he studied international tax and environmental law, and assisted asylum seekers at the Islington Law Centre.

Past Experience

Before joining M&R, Sam worked in the Business Development Department at Multicom Entertainment Group, an independent distribution company with a focus on the global television market and digital media platforms.
