Arie J. Smith

Arie Smith is an associate in M&R’s New York office. A member of the firm’s Class Action & Complex Litigation Practice Group, Arie helps clients resolve challenging, multi-party disputes in state and federal courts, fusing legal analysis with a business-oriented mindset to yield excellent results for her clients.

From pre-litigation counseling to trial preparation, Arie’s experience is vast. She represents a domestic and international client base in high-stakes civil cases involving, among other things, breaches of contract, commercial property, professional liability, product recalls, and insurance-related matters. Toward that end, she prepares comprehensive insurance coverage analyses; drafts briefs and pleadings; writes and argues substantive motions at the trial court level; conducts extensive legal research regarding evidence, statutory interpretation, insurance coverage, federal and state civil procedure, and the like; deposes witnesses and assists in witness preparation and deposition defense; manages civil discovery; and provides comprehensive case management.

While a student at The George Washington University School of Law, where she earned her J.D., Arie was a member of both the GW Business & Finance Law Review and GW Moot Court Board.
