Howard Camhi helps businesses navigate financial distress with clear strategies and decisive action. He represents clients in bankruptcy, restructuring, distressed asset transactions, and related litigation across industries and jurisdictions.

A trusted advocate in bankruptcy courts nationwide, Howard—the firm’s Bankruptcy, Insolvency & Receivership Chair—represents debtors, trustees, creditors’ committees, and secured and unsecured creditors. He has recovered millions of dollars for businesses, institutions, and individuals through focused, results-oriented advocacy.

Howard is also known for his work in federal and state receiverships and for handling assignments for the benefit of creditors. As a testament to his credibility and command of complex financial matters, Howard has been appointed as a federal equity receiver in enforcement actions brought by both the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

In addition to bankruptcy and receivership engagements, Howard advises on secured transactions involving real and personal property, further broadening the scope of his counsel.
