Introducing M&R Houston

Last month, we opened the doors to Texas with the launch of our Dallas office. Today, our reach in the Lone Star State gets even deeper with the introduction of M&R Houston.
Houston is the largest city in Texas and home to the latest M&R location. Lauren Varnado has joined the firm as our Managing Partner in Houston, and in that capacity, she’ll lead our burgeoning energy practice.
The prospects for M&R in Houston are sky high. Lauren and her team represent oil, gas and petrochemical clients in high-stakes, “bet the company” lawsuits, and routinely advises private and public exploration and production (E&P) companies about rights and obligations under upstream, midstream, power and LNG contracts; litigation avoidance and risk mitigation; climate change litigation; and investments and contractual rights and obligations in renewable energy (solar and wind). Clients will also look to M&R Houston for guidance on matters concerning the acquisition and divestiture of oil & gas properties and midstream assets; oil & gas production and business operations; oil & gas leases; accounting obligations to interest owners; and royalty payment practices.
No doubt about it, this is another big day in M&R history, as we usher in a new office in Houston and an energy practice that is sure to take us to new heights.
