“I’m motivated by work that combines technical rigour with a broader sense of purpose, whether in complex commercial disputes or matters with wider societal impact.”
Tim Malloch advises clients on high-value commercial disputes, with a practice focused on complex litigation and international arbitration. He is regularly called upon in matters involving shareholder and ownership disputes, contractual claims, and cross-border commercial conflicts, often where the legal, financial, and reputational stakes are significant.

His recent work includes acting in a series of major disputes between the current and former owners of Aston Martin Lagonda Limited, spanning High Court proceedings, LCIA arbitration, and related offshore litigation. Tim has also played a central role in advising multinational mining and energy companies on LCIA arbitrations and environmental disputes, including matters involving large-scale infrastructure and industrial operations.

Before joining Michelman Robinson, Tim trained and practised at Freshfields, where he developed a strong foundation in complex disputes. He later worked in-house at ClientEarth, advising on ESG-related strategy and litigation. During that time, he helped devise a legal and advocacy strategy that contributed to the UK Government abandoning plans to permit a new generation of unabated coal-fired power stations, experience that continues to inform his interest in ESG-driven disputes and risk advisory work.

Known to be a purpose-driven lawyer, Tim brings a thoughtful, values-oriented perspective to his practice. Outside the law, he completed a two-year cycle along the Pan-American Highway—from Argentina to Alaska—to raise funds for Médecins Sans Frontières, underscoring a commitment to endurance, perspective, and impact that mirrors his professional approach.
