Alexis Ferruccio represents businesses and individuals in complex commercial actions involving contracts, labor and employment matters, insurance-related litigation, business torts, and other high-stakes disputes. Her practice covers all phases of litigation, from discovery and depositions through dispositive motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation, with a focus on developing practical strategies that advance clients’ legal and business objectives.
Her litigation experience also includes sports-related matters, having supported the trial team in Carli Skaggs v. Angels Baseball LP, a nationally recognized Major League Baseball wrongful death action. Alexis has also managed a substantial docket of nationwide product liability litigation and previously represented healthcare providers and insurers in complex medical malpractice cases. Earlier in her career, she served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted more than 300 criminal matters and first-chaired two jury trials.
In addition to her commercial litigation practice, Alexis is focused on the evolving business of sports. She is particularly interested in advising athletes, sports agencies, sponsors, and sports-related businesses on commercial contracts, labor and employment issues, insurance, name, image and likeness (NIL), sports betting, and the legal and commercial issues arising from the continued commercialization of athletics. While attending law school, Alexis assisted the District of Columbia Office of the Chief Financial Officer with legal and regulatory research supporting the District’s implementation of legalized sports wagering following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Murphy v. NCAA. She also writes on emerging developments affecting the sports industry.
Alexis earned her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where she served as Executive Editor of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal. She also holds a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Social Work, both summa cum laude, from The University of Alabama. She is admitted to practice in California and New York.
