Mindy Lewis is an associate in M&R’s Los Angeles office and member of the firm’s Commercial & Business Litigation Practice Group. In that capacity, she works with clients to resolve a range of disputes in state and federal courts and at arbitration and mediation.
Day in and day out, Mindy counsels clients during all phases of litigation, including discovery and trial preparation. She writes motions and briefs; performs legal research; drafts discovery requests, responses and evidentiary objections; and conducts client and witness interviews.
Mindy has particular expertise in litigating entertainment and copyright cases and has been engaged in high-stakes matters spanning the TV, film, and music industries. These matters have involved intellectual property, mechanical licenses, rights grants to SVOD platforms, backend participation, credit issues and non-payment of royalties to artists.
While in law school, Mindy was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and received a certificate in IP, Entertainment and Technology as a Fellow with the Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law.
