We all think M&R has the best lawyers, but sometimes its nice to get outside confirmation of what we know to be true. And that we just did, with the announcement that M&R attorneys have been recognized by Best Lawyers, the oldest and among the most respected peer review publications in the legal profession.

Sanford Michelman (Commercial Litigation), Dana Kravetz (Labor Law-Management), Mona Hanna (Commercial Litigation, Insurance Law, Litigation-Insurance, and Class Actions-Defendants), and Eric Simonson (Corporate Law) were each honored by Best Lawyers for the fifth time. Adam Solomon (Advertising Law) was included in the publication for the second year in a row.

This is a wonderful and well-deserved honor for Sanford, Dana, Mona, Eric, Adam, and on behalf of the firm, we congratulate them all for being acknowledged by what some consider to be the most reliable, unbiased source of legal referrals anywhere.

Billboard magazine has named Michael Poster as a top music lawyer for 2018.

In naming him to its list, Billboard recognized Michael’s efforts to bridge music and deal making, together with his portfolio of work facilitating the purchase and sale of music companies and recording and publishing catalogs, as well as private equity acquisitions, venture capital investment, joint ventures and bank financing in the music space.

The music-related transactions Michael has worked on in recent years have been quite notable, and Billboard certainly agrees. This is a great honor for Michael, and very well deserved.

Michelman & Robinson, LLP is pleased to announce that M&R attorneys have been included in New York – Metro Super Lawyers for 2019. Richard Reice has been named a Super Lawyer while Brooke Haley has been named as Rising Star. Congratulations to all for their selection to the list.

Super Lawyers and Rising Stars is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only 2.5 percent of lawyers practicing in each region are selected for inclusion in Rising Stars annually. Each year, the research team at Super Lawyers Magazine undertakes a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area and a good-standing and disciplinary check.

There’s more good news for the M&R family, and this is big. Our own Mona Hanna has been honored yet again, having just been one of the select few named as a Business Insurance 2018 Women to Watch.

This award, which is the only one of its kind, celebrates leading women from every facet of the commercial insurance industry. Since its inception in 2006, the honor has grown into an educational program aimed at the advancement of women in commercial insurance, risk management and related fields (in Mona’s case, insurance law). The full list of winners was published today at Business Insurance. In addition, a profile of Mona will run in the December edition of Business Insurance.

We couldn’t be more proud of Mona who, time and again, has proven herself to be a leader and star in so many areas, including insurance as Business Insurance has so appropriately recognized.
