Abhiraj Giritharan brings a strong foundation in litigation, legal research, and case preparation to his work with the firm’s commercial and business litigation team. A former Michelman Robinson summer associate, he returned to the firm after gaining experience with both prosecution and defense matters during law school.

As a law clerk with the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, Abhiraj drafted motions and legal research memoranda involving complex felony cases, interviewed clients, and helped prepare them for arraignment. His experience also includes internships with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California and the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, where he conducted legal and factual research and assisted with case preparation.

Abhiraj earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he participated in the Intellectual Property & Entertainment Law Society, served as a parole advocate with Ending the Prison Industrial Complex, and took part in a 3L clinic with the Federal Defenders of New York in S.D.N.Y. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in Law, History, & Culture and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
