Dmitriy Gelfand is an associate in M&R’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Class Action & Complex Litigation Practice Group. In that capacity, he represents domestic and international clients in high-stakes commercial disputes in both state and federal courts, including breach of contract litigation, insurance coverage matters, civil RICO actions, and bankruptcy proceedings. With a practice that also encompasses corporate crime and investigation matters, Dmitriy advises financial services companies on internal investigations and risk management strategy.

Before joining M&R, Dmitriy was an associate at a Global 200 firm focusing on commercial litigation, and at an Am Law 200 firm before then, where he litigated a wide range of professional liability claims involving directors and officers and breaches of representations and warranties on behalf of domestic and international insurance carriers. Prior to that, Dmitriy served as a Judicial Fellow to the Honorable Claire C. Cecchi, United States District Judge, in Newark, New Jersey.

At Fordham University School of Law, Dmitriy served as an associate editor of the Fordham Journal of Corporate and Financial Law and was Intra-school Competition Editor for the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Center. He received his B.A. in Economics from Hunter College.
