Nicole Benalcazar works on commercial and business litigation matters from early case assessment through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Her work includes drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, managing written and electronic discovery, preparing witnesses, and helping to position cases for efficient resolution.

Before joining the firm, Nicole served as a Law Extern with Earthjustice’s Clean Energy Program and as a Law Clerk Intern with the Los Angeles County Counsel (Health Services Division). Earlier, she worked as a Litigation Coordinator & Assistant at Earthjustice and as Program Coordinator & Assistant to the Judiciary Committee at the New York City Bar Association.

While pursuing her J.D.at UCLA School of Law, she served as Chief Articles Editor for the Journal of Environmental Law & Policy and actively contributed to the Environmental Law Society. As a mentor for the UCLA Law Fellows Program, she guided students who faced significant barriers to accessing legal education, helping guide them toward successful law school admissions. Nicole also distinguished herself in advocacy competitions, earning an honorable mention at the 2024 California Lawyers Association Student Negotiations Competition and advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2025 National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition (NELMCC) with her team.
