Robert D. Estrin
Robert Estrin is counsel in M&R’s Los Angeles office. He specializes in high stakes commercial litigation and intellectual property disputes.
An effective and efficient advocate, Robert focuses on obtaining great results while minimizing costs and inconvenience to his clients. He has done so in a variety of cases litigated on behalf of Fortune 500 companies (e.g., Google and ExxonMobil), financial institutions, biotech and pharmaceutical companies, and famous singers. In fact, Robert is unbeaten at trial. His comprehensive knowledge of business issues – the same ones that puzzle many other lawyers – has contributed to this unblemished record.
Robert is a member of M&R’s Advertising & Digital Media Industry Group. Outside the office, he has committed himself to serving Southern California’s impoverished communities, having won the prestigious Kaye Scholer Pro Bono Award while at his former firm in 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2015. His many pro bono accomplishments include successfully returning full ownership for several homeowners who were induced by fraud to sign quitclaim deeds.

Representation included winning a key reversal of the trial court’s claim construction and convincing the Federal Circuit to vacate the trial court’s denial of Sequenom’s motion for a preliminary injunction.
Intellectual Property Litigation: Obtained seven-figure jury verdict on behalf of Experian’s subsidiary after a five week trial in a cybersquatting and trademark infringement case.

A Judge in the United States District Court issued his staggering ruling after the defendant neglected to respond to our client’s discovery requests and then refused to abide by the Court’s order to provide responses to interrogatories and produce documents, which was requested by way of our comprehensive motion to compel.
