An Associate in Michelman & Robinson LLP’s (M&R’s) New York office, Jonathan Goeringer is a member of M&R’s Corporate & Securities Department, supporting his clients on matters related to corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions and financial investments. As part of Mr. Goeringer’s corporate transactional work, he has conducted complex due diligence in connection with multi-million dollar stock purchases and asset purchases, and drafted all associated transactional documents.
Mr. Goeringer also has experience in various phases of litigation, including legal research, drafting demand letters, dispositive motions, discovery requests and responses, evidentiary objections, as well as client and witness interviews. In the Employment Law context, Mr. Goeringer has worked on claims involving employment discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, reduction in workforce, and wage and hour issues. He has also has assisted with employment law counseling by drafting documents related to hiring and termination practices, such as non-competes and severance agreements.
At St. John’s University School of Law, Mr. Goeringer was President of the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Society, and a member of the Sports Law Journal. He was also selected to participate on behalf of the Dispute Resolution Society in multiple national competitions, in which he won awards.
Awards & Special Recognitions
Mr. Goeringer was a Semi-Finalist in the 2015 Tulane National Baseball Salary Arbitration Competition; awarded highest-ranking written brief of all submissions.
