Derrick Fong-Stempel
Derrick Fong-Stempel is an associate in M&R’s Los Angeles office and a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. He provides advice and counsel to and litigates on behalf of a range of clients—primarily management—relative to wage and hour, discrimination, wrongful termination, and other job-related disputes.
Analytical and pragmatic, Derrick never loses site of his clients’ short- and long-term business goals. Indeed, a results-driven approach to all of his cases informs Derrick’s work, much of which centers on the hospitality industry.
While in law school at the University of Southern California, Derrick served as a law clerk for Deputy District Attorney Richard Ceballos, working in the Organized Crime Division of the D.A.’s office. He was also on staff of the Interdisciplinary Law Journal at USC.
