Jia Song

Jia Song is an associate in M&R’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Corporate, M&A, Securities & Real Estate Practice Group. In that capacity, she focuses her practice on corporate and securities law, capital markets transactions, corporate finance, and general corporate matters.

More particularly, Jia has experience drafting documents for public and private securities offerings, special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. She assists public and private companies in their corporate transactions, including securities offerings of public and private and cross-border acquisitions. Her experience also includes advising several China-based issuers going public in the U.S. In addition, Jia counsels U.S. public companies with respect to periodic reporting obligations and corporate governance issues.

A graduate of the New York University School of Law, Jia previously earned a Juris Master from Peking University Law School in Beijing. She received her undergraduate Bachelor’s degrees in Art Design and Law from the Beijing Institute of Technology. Prior to joining M&R, Jia was an associate at a New York City–based boutique corporate and securities law firm, where she worked on China-based issuer IPOs, corporate transactions, and advised clients on SEC compliance and corporate governance matters. Following her commencement from NYU, Jia served as a Judicial Intern at the New York State Supreme Court.
