Elliot Weiss

Elliot Weiss is an associate in M&R’s New York City office. In that capacity, he focuses on corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, debt finance transactions, venture capital financings, private equity, joint venture transactions, and 33’ and 34’ Act registration and disclosure reporting for public company issuers.

With clients ranging from small and midsize businesses to financial buyers, family offices, and regional banks, Elliot handles sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions, secured lending, and other corporate financing transactions, including senior credit facilities, ABL facilities, and acquisition financings. He also works on behalf of companies and investors in music-related transactions involving the purchase and sale of music companies, recording and publishing catalogs, commercial licensing, and other corporate transactions in the music industry.

Beyond his legal practice, Elliot is a New York-based musician and graduate of Berklee College of Music. He is a committed volunteer as well, having worked on a pro bono basis for Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts of New York, Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts of Massachusetts, and Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada.

Prior to joining M&R, Elliot worked as an associate in the New York office of a leading international law firm. In addition, he was previously an associate investment banker at a former NYSE-listed financial services company, which informs his multi-faceted understanding of corporate finance and inures to the benefit of his clients.
