Earlier this year, the Los Angeles City Council’s approval of a Citywide Hotel Worker Minimum Wage Ordinance has increased the minimum wage paid by all L.A.-based hotels by July 1, 2016, except for those that demonstrate severe prospective financial hardships. In order to mitigate the impact of the increased minimum wage, hotels should consider evaluating their operations to find ways to offset these costs.
