On September 16, 2016, as part of the Entertainment & Technology Law Conference at New York University, Michael Poster spoke on a panel discussion entitled, “Slipping Through the Cracks: How Artists and Rightsholders Are Missing Out on Digital Royalties.” This program explored ways in which artists and rightsholders fail to collect certain digital royalties, either because they don't actively seek out collection, or the rights are not properly licensed by those who play their music. In this segment, Michael addresses the fact that music rights and payments are often not in line.
