Press Release
June 10, 2010

The New York Women’s Bar Association (“NYWBA”) will honor outgoing President and Michelman & Robinson, LLP (“M&R”) attorney Donna M. Praiss at its Installation Gala and Dinner on June 10, 2010.

Ms. Praiss, an accomplished member of the Firm’s Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Department held the office of NYWBA President from 2009 - 2010. During her tenure, she successfully advanced the association’s goals of improving the status of women in society and within the legal community.

Her unparalleled commitment to educating female lawyers and assisting them in their professional development is underscored by her work at the NYWBA. Ms. Praiss actively promoted and participated in the association’s committees, continuing legal education programs and through its Mentoring Circles program, which she made a priority to invigorate this year. She spoke directly to NYWBA membership through her President’s Messages, often including personal anecdotes that expressed the delicate balance that female professionals experience as they juggle family and career. She will continue her work with the NYWBA by serving as a director in 2010 – 2011.

Ms. Praiss has brought her tireless dedication to women’s issues to her position at M&R by mentoring many of the female associates in the Firm’s New York office.

“It has been truly fulfilling to work with Donna. She is a talented attorney, a giving colleague and a tremendous asset to our New York team. I am thrilled that the NYWBA will be honoring Donna at a gala that also celebrates the association’s 75th Anniversary. It seems especially fitting to commemorate Donna with the women who have inspiringly served the association for decades before her,” said Judith J. Sullivan, Partner, New York office.

M&R warmly congratulates Ms. Praiss on her service to the NYWBA.
