M&R Represents Musicians in $200 Million Class Action Complaint Against Rhapsody Alleging Copyright Violations

Michelman & Robinson, LLP (M&R) was mentioned in the Billboard article, “Rhapsody Hit With Class-Action Suit Over Royalties,” on March 8, 2016, with respect to our representation of plaintiffs and musicians David Lowery, Victor Krummenacher, and David Faragher. M&R, on behalf of the songwriters, filed the lawsuit against Rhapsody, a streaming music provider, in the Northern District of CA for an estimated $200 million in damages alleging the unlicensed reproduction and/or distribution of copyrighted works and failure to pay owed mechanical royalties.
