Bradley Henry Named M&R's White-Collar & Investigations ChairPDF
Congratulations to Bradley Henry on his appointment as the firm’s White-Collar Defense & Investigations Chair. A board-certified criminal trial specialist, Brad has done an extraordinary job pushing M&R into the upper echelons of white-collar practice. He now leads an extraordinary team of lawyers with broad experience representing institutions and individuals in navigating financial crimes.
Recently, Brad helped to exonerate Mark Hazelwood, ex-President of diesel fuel distribution giant Pilot Flying J, who had been convicted of taking part in a scheme to short trucking customers of promised fuel rebates and sentenced to 12.5 years in prison. By virtue of Brad’s efforts, as well as those of his team, the Department of Justice recently dismissed the criminal case, which was pending on retrial; an outcome that is almost unheard of.
Earlier this year Brad secured another extraordinary win, when he and his colleagues convinced a U.S. District Court to dismiss a case filed against a foreign company—litigation involving U.S. economic sanctions that exposed it to more than $10 billion in damages.
Brad does work for foreign and domestic companies and executives alike. In fact, he was lead author of a just-published white paper titled “FCPA for Turkish Companies,” a comprehensive guide for Turkish entities and Turkish subsidiaries of U.S. companies concerning compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. That paper was center stage last week at the invitation-only Second Annual Turkish Conference on the FCPA that took place at the Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul and was headlined by Brad and Mehmet Baysan.
In short, Brad’s practice encompasses a wide-range of white-collar crimes, including the FCPA, U.S. economic sanctions, AML/CTF, economic espionage and other business and financial crimes. It is his leadership in this space that so clearly warrants Brad’s designation as M&R’s White-Collar Defense & Investigations Chair.
