International Trade, Arbitration and White Collar Superstars Join Michelman & Robinson, LLP

Michelman & Robinson, LLP has announced that Mehmet Baysan and Bradley Henry have joined the firm as partners in its New York City office. With the hiring of Baysan and Henry, M&R adds international trade, arbitration, and white-collar criminal defense to its robust slate of client service offerings.

Both attorneys were previously name partners at an internationally recognized boutique disputes and investigations law firm with offices and affiliates in New York City, Boston and overseas in Turkey.

Baysan represents international clients—institutions, businesses, and sovereigns—involved in commercial and investment treaty arbitrations, as well as other complex civil, criminal, and administrative enforcement actions. Likewise, he is known for assisting foreign companies across industries—construction, infrastructure, energy, and textiles, to name a few—looking to enter the U.S. market.

Henry is a board-certified criminal trial specialist. In that capacity, he handles criminal and regulatory litigation, international arbitrations, and internal investigations involving securities fraud, foreign corrupt practices and export violations, bank secrecy and money laundering offenses, public corruption, sanctions violations, corporate financial fraud, and theft of trade secrets. Henry clients include companies from multiple sectors—banking and financial services, textile, construction, mining, nuclear, tobacco, and manufacturing, among them.

On the arrival of Baysan and Henry at M&R, John Giardino, Managing Partner of the firm’s office in NYC, says, “Mehmet and Brad’s roster of international clients and track record of success in cases that bridge continents are just remarkable. By virtue of their vast experience in somewhat niche and highly sought-after areas of the law, and given their collective footprint overseas—especially in Turkey—our litigation presence is elevated and our global capacity grows exponentially.”

Baysan and Henry believe the sky’s the limit at M&R, even in this challenging environment. According to Baysan, “Michelman & Robinson is known to be a powerhouse litigation firm, which is why Brad and I have had our eyes on them for some time. Its nationwide reach is a big draw for the two of us, and we’re looking forward to rolling up our sleeves, working alongside a great group of lawyers, and opening up doors internationally.”

Adds Henry, “The firm’s client-centric approach and industry focus were a great match with our core practice philosophy. M&R has assembled an A-team, and Mehmet and I are proud to be a part of it.”
