Jordan Bernstein discussed “Crowdfunding: It’s Just Getting Kick Started,” at the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo which took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on August 25, 2015. Hosted by the California Restaurant Association, this event provided an opportunity for restaurant and food & beverage industry professionals to learn about new products, cooking techniques, technologies and issues affecting their industry. In his presentation, Jordan explored equity crowdfunding as a means of financing new business ventures within the industry, and he examined when it acts as a viable solution, how it works, and what legal restrictions to be aware of when considering raising funds in this manner.
