Pro Bono

M&R's Pro Bono Committee serves the wider community through representation of the underserved. The committee works with a host of organizations to best match case needs with our firm resources. Comprised of attorneys in each of our offices, the committee is chaired by Jeffrey Farrow, who is based in Orange County. We also have Robert Estrin in California, Seth Darmstadter in Illinois and Warren Koshofer in New York acting as point persons across offices.

Pro Bono Providers

The Pro Bono committee has partnered with the following organizations in service to our surrounding communities:

(1) Bet Tzedek – California

Bet Tzedek is nationally recognized as a leader in providing legal services to low-income seniors, including handling elder abuse issues and ensuring the elderly know their rights so they can protect their homes. The organization also protects low-wage workers when they are illegally denied wages or other benefits.

(2) The Ronald McDonald House of Charities – California

The Ronald McDonald House of Charities helps alleviate some of the financial burdens placed upon families with sick children. Over the years, the charity has facilitated annual savings of $930 million in lodging and meal costs alone.

(3) Public Counsel's Appellate Self-Help Clinic – California

This organization serves indigent appellate civil litigants acting in pro per in the Second Appellate District.

(4) Lawyers for a Sustainable Economy – New York

LSE provides legal services to entrepreneurs and environmental non-profits working on sustainability projects. The organization is primarily focused on transactional work, including incorporation, corporate governance and contracts.

(5) Chicago Volunteer Legal Services

Working with this organization, we represent children and low-income individuals in a variety of litigation matters.
