Mark Robinson of our Regulatory & Administrative Department and Spencer Hamer of our Labor & Employment Department will be speaking at the American Agents Alliance’s 50th Annual Convention & Expo.
Mark Robinson’s one-hour seminar, entitled “Update on insurance regulatory matters relevant to insurance agents and brokers,” will cover the 2012 Automobile Insurance Discount Act, proposed secondary notices for lapse notices, changes to licensee background information, tips and approach to responding to Department of Insurance Complaints, and broker fees and proper disclosure of same.
Spencer Hamer’s one-hour seminar, entitled “Top Ten Excuses Plaintiffs Make in Employment Lawsuits (And How to Eliminate Them),” will cover proactive steps California employers can take to protect themselves from employment litigation, and practical advice on how to identify plaintiff excuses in advance in order to reduce legal risk. Spencer will also address issues related to workplace investigations, employee privacy rights, anti-discrimination practices, whistleblowers, retaliation, and more.
